California Dreaming: Where It All Began
In the ’70s, my parents, Karen and Tom, were chasing sunshine, good vibes, and a simpler way of life. Cruising the California coast, they started blending small batches of lotion using only ingredients they trusted—natural, effective, and straight from the heart. That little idea grew into something more: Mountain Ocean, a brand made to bring kindness, care, and a sense of adventure into everyday life.
Boulder Bound: Finding Home and Community
Their journey brought them to Boulder, Colorado—a town full of mountain magic and like-minded souls. They opened a shop called Everybody, a space where people gathered to discover natural products made with love. The community embraced them, and Mountain Ocean became a local staple—welcomed into homes, routines, and hearts.
Growing the Family, Growing the Brand
As our family grew, so did the brand. Mountain Ocean became woven into the rhythm of our lives—every product reflecting a love for nature, simplicity, and quality. But it was never just about skincare. It was (and still is) a way of life—rooted in creativity, authenticity, and the belief that good things should be shared.

Today, my longtime friend Sasha and I are honored to carry the trip forward—kindred spirits with a shared love for creativity, simplicity, and good vibes. Together, we’re keeping my parents’ vision alive while adding our own spark—staying true to the formulas, the feeling, and the soul of Mountain Ocean.
The adventure continues, one bottle (and one trip) at a time—spreading love, care, and a little everyday escape for the next generation.
